Album Choices

ASUKA BOOKS
Here are some samples from my album supplier, ASUKA BOOKS. These are not my albums; you can see the photographer responsible for these great images on the bottom of each image. Just imagine yourself on the cover of these books instead. All my albums are designed by me so you have say in the designs as well. I don’t outsource the design, just the printing. Currently my albums are an add-on to my packages and are something we talk about after the wedding and proofing. However, I am looking into changing this format because I do want to design more albums. Maybe I’m egotistical but it is very fun to have my work printed and bound (you can be egotistical too and like seeing yourself in print). Also, they make great keepsakes, don’t settle for an image that sits on your computer but have your memories in hand and accessible! It’s all right if you are a Kindle fan, but I still like reading from books. And don’t think that albums are just for weddings. I was a second child so my sister is in all the photo albums and I was in none. Don’t make the same mistake as my mom- give each child their own albums and have different albums as they grow up.

This is the Book Bound EXD series. It has a hard photo cover with matching slip jacket and a storage box with the same image.

This is how the Book Bound lay when opened. This is a coffee style album.

This is the Book Bound Soft Cover Series. They come with a clear plastic case.

The soft cover is more casual. It's more like a paperback book than a hardback.

This is the Zen Lay-Flat Hard Cover series.

With the Lay-Flat series it is pretty much as the name implies. The great thing about this style is that you don't lose anything in the margins- the image can go straight across without interruption.

COUTURE ALUBMS
I have yet to order from this album company, but I like how many choices they have for books. Plus, 100 pages comes standard, which is a good choice for people that want lots of images, but not pay for design fees. And remember I give guinea pig discounts to those willing to try out a new album company!

Couture Albums

IRISbook
This company also offers a standard 100 pages included, but it has a completely different feel than Couture. I love the simplicity and elegance of the colorful silk covers and name imprinting. Photo and leather covers are also available.
