Work Flow

Sometimes photographers do this thing they call “batch” work flow. This means they edit one image and then apply the changes they made to that image to a whole other set of images. This could be hundreds of images. I take longer than those photographers. I’m sorry to admit it, but I have a good reason why; it is because I open every single image. Up to a thousand plus images if it is a wedding. I open every single one and decide whether it just needs basic editing, a little more editing, or it deserves special attention. Basic editing is along the lines of adding contrast and color correction. A little more is to the tune of dodging and burning and blemish removal. “Special attention” means that it isn’t inferior just that it has the potential to be better than it is and maybe even better than it’s peers.
Below are a few examples from basic editing to Eureka!

Unedited: Straight out of the camera.

Edited: color correction & a contrast kick

Unedited: Straight out of camera

Modish Edit: One of my presets I designed called "In the Sun"

Unedited: Straight out of camera

Basic Edit: color correction, exposure correction, & more contrast

More So: sky burned in & more saturation

Unedited: Staight out of camera

Basic: exposure correction

Modish Edit

Eureka! Edit: I had to open this in Photoshop and combine two different exposures to bring the sky back
